Just Adjust

“As a chiropractor do you do anything else or do you just adjust?”

I get asked this question more often that one might think.

To be honest with you - it kind of bothers me.

just adjust

That line seems to echo in my head several times like from a scene in a movie when the character has an out of body experience.

As a chiropractor an adjustment is the ONLY thing I should be doing.

Nobody would ask a dentist to look at a rash on their backside after having a cleaning.

So why do I get asked if I just adjust?

Also, within in that question is the underlying thought that the adjustment is somehow not enough to happen on its own.

The chiropractic adjustment is one of the most important discoveries in health care.

The ability to improve spinal health and nervous system communication without the use of drugs or surgery is simply amazing!

People under chiropractic care sleep better, focus more, and have higher energy levels.

People under chiropractic care have gotten off medication and have lowered their blood pressure.

People under chiropractic care are able to golf again, run again, lift their grand-kids again.

People under chiropractic care no longer have headaches, migraines, or back pain.

People under chiropractic care no longer suffer from allergies, asthma or sleep apnea.

People under chiropractic simply have a higher quality of life than those not under care and this is all responsible due to the chiropractic adjustment.

So yes, as a chiropractor I just adjust because it is the most important thing I can do for you and your family.

Your physical therapist can stretch you and put on a TENS unit.

Your trainer can tell you how much to run or lift.

Your dietitian can tell you what to eat and how much of it.

But none of them can adjust your spine to improve your nervous system function.

So rather than being a jack of all trades and a master of none I will continue to master and refine how I deliver the chiropractic adjustment to best serve you and your family.
